literally the BEST avocado toast I've ever had!!! A must try! The matcha and fresh honey was amazing as well! Definitely recommend! 1000/10! The restaurant is clean and service was great!
Great and friendly service. Beautiful interior with indoor and outdoor seating and even a to-go window! The ricotta pancake was presented beautifully! I could only finish third of it since it was such a large portion! The magic mocha was delicious!
Another ridiculously good breakfast joint in Portland. Incredible coffee. The hash is unreal. The sausage rolls are to die for. You can't go wrong with anything you pick here. May be a little wait for a table of 4+ but plenty of spots for 2 tops.
Amazing coffee roast and bean selection. It's wonderful that they provide producer and tasting information about their specialty beans. The brunch menu is delicious and beautifully presented. All the menus are not too heavy but very satisfying, having different textures and various flavors. They also change the menu periodically, so every visit offers something new to try. The staff is very kind, and the barista is incredibly knowledgeable. Occasionally, there's a wait, but other times there's none. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, large communal tables, and a quick take-out coffee window. This is definitely my favorite brunch spot in Portland.
Came here on a recommendation from a past local. Very intrigued by the Australian style of this restaurant. Environment The restaurant is very full with bustling all around and tables well spaced but definitely full and taking all possible space inside. The ceilings are high and the decor makes it feel very inviting and fresh. Food The food was very good. Very well crafted and elaborate meals. Flavors could be more of a punch in some places, but overall very good. And great portion sizes as well. Coffee We ordered the ghost ride which included the most interesting espresso shot ever! And we ordered a latte which was very rich and flavorful. Not your standard latte. Service Was very friendly and upbeat. Super nice wait staff.
We got here at 930am on a weekend and were seated right away. This place got very busy after 10am. We got their popular dishes: ricotta hotcakes, potato hash, green shakshuka and avo toast. The hotcakes were so flavorful and the shakshuka was savory. The presentation of the food was beautiful! Dining here is a feast for both the eyes and the palate The place itself is small but very cozy. However, the overall dining experience was marred by slow and inattentive service most likely due to how busy it was. It took them awhile to get our orders and to get our check. I'll definitely come back to try out other dishes
Just wow at the food. Haven't been here in a year and the hotcakes and dishes got even better. The yuzu hotcakes were my favorite item and it looked as good as it tasted. The shakshuka was also . All the coffee drinks had the right amount of flavor and nothing was too sweet. My group also tried two pastries, the chai tea cake and lemon pistachio one. While we found the lemon pastry a little dry and crumbly, the chai one was so moist and delicious that we forgot about the dry pastry. When leaving the restaurant, I saw other tables ordered the rockfish dish which looked huge and amazing. I hope to be back soon to try that dish
Ate outside and appreciated the space heaters, as it was a chilly morning. Ordered the bahn mi (server incorrectly corrected me on the pronunciation but that's ok ). It was excellent, on bread that was quite flamboyant but delicious and it all came together great. Got an iced latte, it was good although the coffee was slightly bitter for my taste (probably perfect for Portlanders though).
Top notch breakfast and coffees. Get there early if you don't like to wait as they do get busy. Ricotta pancake and potato hash were highlights but everything was great. Nice service and music too!
I came here for a brunch double date and had such a good time. Walking into the cafe, you might get mistaken that it's a coffee shop, but it's not! (There's just a coffee stand that you can get coffee from). This place is unique in that it doubles as both a coffee shop as well as a brunch spot. Service here was a bit on the slower side, but maybe it's also because I came in a group. To start, I got the matcha latte. I didn't like it as much as I hoped as the matcha didn't come through as much as the milk did (it tasted more like warm milk, with a hint of MAYBE matcha). However, my boyfriend got their drip coffee and it was good! As a group, we ordered the potato hash, acaraje, and ricotta hotcakes. Everything came out like a work of art and the portions were huge. The potato hash was pretty standard, but the bacon in it was done extremely well and brought the dish together. The ricotta hotcakes was truly a journey in of itself, with so many different flavors, ingredients, and textures. And, my favorite dish was honestly the acaraje. I've never had rockfish for brunch, but Proud Mary did prepared it so well and the dish was absolutely phenomenal. I would have it for any meal. Overall, it was great and I highly recommend to check this spot out!
